Yesterday

Man oh man, what a LONG, but fulfilling day. First of all, I had my body balance back after all of the days following the epic binge I described in Day 106. I was SO happy I posted selfies on IG JUST for the sheer happiness of how I felt.

And many people commented on the selfies or via email or on this blog, that I looked SO good, so pretty, Stéfanie even said I looked “perfect”. Wah? I STILL weigh the same as before. I’m up a little, but I FEEL great. I FEEL confident. I LIKE myself. So my selfies reflect that. This is a BIG, BIG lesson for me. What we feel and what we TELL ourselves is a huge part of how we present to the world and how the world responds.

So I’m going to BE a person who values her body every day, no matter WHAT it weighs.

Next, I wrote Day 108 yesterday morning (about 3 hours), I hiked in the SUN and WIND up the mountain to record the show (3 hours) had dinner and then EDITED the audio file, wrote the show notes and PUBLISHED the sucker. (4.5 hours) Wow, that was a complex show to do all in one day! But I did it as my singing teacher was ill and had to cancel, and I figured it would be a great thing to have a full day for what’s next on my Zen list…

Today

CRAP! It is “Clean out the junky guest bedroom including sorting BOXES of papers” Day! Yikes! Of all the hated and dreaded cleaning in the world, I fear you most of all.

Mark said last night, “Are you ACTUALLY going to clean your room tomorrow?” We call the guest room MY room because:

  1. I keep my clothes in there. Weird huh?
  2. The guest room furniture was my grandparents’ furniture and I’ve had it since I was 19
  3. I’m the one who pretty much throws any and all crap into it when I don’t want to deal with something

Sigh.

Mark also said, “Man are you going to feel BETTER once THAT is done.”

Smart ass!

We who are about to clean this horrible pile of dusty disordered crap salute you! It’s a far far better thing we clean than we’ve EVER cleaned before…

xoxoxoxoxo

Later….as the sun set behind the storm tossed mountains….
HOORAY!

How about you?

Please feel free to comment on MY statuses or add YOUR OWN thoughts, feelings, challenges, rants and raves on these pages too. That was one of the original purposes of why I posted on FB. I thought BCs might like to share about THEIR days. So if you have thoughts and feelings you’d like to share with the group, go ahead and put them here with your comments.

*Daily statuses are not part of the blog’s email notification. When you enter your email under where it says SUBSCRIBE TO POSTS VIA EMAIL, you will be notified of regular blog posts and when podcast episodes are released. I didn’t want to clog your inbox with my daily statuses. However, the automatic publicize feature will inform you on my show FB page, my AdventureLaurie twitter account, google+ on its show page, and Tumblr.

PS If you wish to sign up for email notification of blog postings and shows going live (not these status reports) enter your email where it says: “SUBSCRIBE TO POSTS VIA EMAIL”. This blog subscription widget is located to the right on computers and on some tablets, and below the posts on smart phones and on other types of tablets.

PSS, some BCs have asked me the difference between blog postings and status pages. Blog postings are where I develop a complete topic triggered by my status thoughts. Status thoughts are how my day went, what’s on my agenda, and how my body feels today – and not much editing or thought goes into them. That’s why I don’t clog up your email with them. 🙂

Yep Miss Dawny, this is the KEY concept for me. Value everything you have RIGHT NOW. Enjoy your health, your cats, your home, your BODY. Even though these things may change or behave in ways you don’t love (the general you). Everyone can find joy in the present moment – even when we have dreams for the future.
