Finding a Therapist Who Can Help You Heal – Getting the Most out of Therapy and Counseling A really good, thorough, objective article and list of tips and facts all about finding a therapist, what to expect, different types of therapists etc. by helpguide.org. Highly recommended.
What a great episode, Laurie. It seems there is a critical mass of healing that is underway. Welcome to all of the new Brave Companions. We are more alike than you know and we all share a deep desire to be okay and to be loved. We are all of those and more. And Laurie, while I have not yet tackled my closet and my proverbial closet, I am proudto be part of such a loving group of Brave Companions. I think we all need to be compassionate and forgiving of ourselves.
I agree, it is wonderful to be part of such a warm and caring group! I’m amazed every single day by the wisdom, compassion and sharing that the brave companions bring. BTW, I STILL have yet to tackle the big closet in the spare room, but I’m working up to it. 😉
I am always amazed at your organizational skills when I listen to you knowing that you feel you lost some of your edge after your bike accident. Knowing you just go off in the hills and ramble in such a methodical way is truly awesome. I’d say you are STILL at the top of your game! That was a great podcast!
And thanks, Laurie, for dealing with that whole being overwhelmed thing. That was very good advice. I appreciated your posting it to the thread over on Spark People. I really took it to heart. Hugs!
Thanks Cheryl! I’m encouraged that I’m able to dredge up some of my old speaking and teaching skills. To be honest, I do write out notes for the shout-outs and the transisions before I go off to record. But the segments that are just me yakking are off the cuff 🙂 Also, the ones I label bonus episodes are more like the first episodes where I just go off to walk and talk. You’re very welcome and I thank YOU for your comment on SP that gave me the idea. Without you, and the other brave companions giving me feedback to consider, I wouldn’t have such a wealth of topics to think on.
